Job Description
- Job Summary
- The Plant Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation, monitoring, and maintenance of facility utility systems, including boilers, chillers, HVAC systems, and auxiliary equipment. This role ensures all equipment functions within designated parameters to support continuous hospital operations and complies with applicable codes, standards, and policies.
- Essential Functions
- + Operates and monitors plant systems such as boilers, chillers, air compressors, water systems, and emergency generators.
- Qualifications
- + 2-4 years of experience in facility operations, mechanical maintenance, or plant utilities required + Experience in a hospital or healthcare environment preferred
- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- + Knowledge of building utility systems, mechanical operations, and safety protocols. + Ability to interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics. + Skilled in the use of diagnostic and hand tools. + Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude. + Ability to work independently and in high-pressure environments.
- Licenses and Certifications
- + DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State required + One or more of the following certifications based on facility needs:
EPA 608 HVAC
