Job Description

JOB Minimum Requirements:
Education:
High school graduation or equivalency
Experience:
1 year of previous experience required in the same or similar positions
Physical Demands:
A main requirement of the job is physical labor
Licenses and Certifications:
Valid Arizona Class "A" Commercial Driver's License with Tanker endorsement. One (1) Grade I Arizona Department of Environmental Quality Certification (ADEQ) in Water Distribution upon hire . Must obtain Grade II ADEQ Certification in Water Distribution within one year of hire . Tell me more... The City of Peoria Water Distribution is seeking a Utility System Operator II to maintain and repair the City of Peoria water distribution system. This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position that will perform maintenance and repair on water mains, fire hydrants, valves, and service lines throughout the City of Peoria. If you are a hard worker with extensive water distribution experience and enjoy contributing to a team atmosphere, this is an outstanding opportunity for you. Shift work, weekends, holidays, standby duty, and callback duty may be required. The ideal candidate for this position will have: Experience and ability to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair a water distribution system. Ability to operate heavy equipment such as dump trucks, backhoes, and large utility service trucks.
