Batchman

Key Responsibilities:

Batch concrete to customer specifications Successfully meet and adjust to the production schedule Communicate with drivers and plant personnel to facilitate smooth operation Manage yard and driver personnel Preventative maintenance on plant and heavy equipment, including greasing and oil changes Inspect plant and heavy equipment for mechanical soundness at the start of the shift Maintain yard equipment and facility in general Arrive on time to scheduled shift Check the schedule for color/fiber/batch details for current and next day Dispatch trucks Manage inventory Keep supervisor up to date with issues Ability to adjust schedule depending on situations that arise Coordinate with the shop for truck service Order materials for the next day Uphold and adhere to safety policies Key Competencies (knowledge, skills, characteristics): In-depth knowledge of Command Batch Basic mechanical competency and ability to troubleshoot various plant repairs, including electrical, conveyor belts, and airline patches Computer literacy Supervisory skills Ability to work in extreme heat Capability to operate a forklift, boom lift, loader, etc. Problem solver Detail oriented Ability to multitask Knowledge of ready-mix trucks

Pay:

$30.00 - $32.00 per hour
