Job Description

Job Description We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Aggregate Plant Tower Operator to oversee the daily operation of our aggregate processing plant from the control tower. This position is responsible for monitoring plant equipment, maintaining production efficiency, troubleshooting operational issues, and ensuring safe and consistent material production. The ideal candidate has mechanical aptitude, strong attention to detail, and experience working in an aggregate, mining, asphalt, concrete, or industrial processing environment. Responsibilities Operate and monitor crushing, screening, conveying, and wash plant systems from the control tower. Start up, shut down, and adjust plant equipment as needed for production demands. Monitor material flow, belt scales, screens, crushers, and feeders for proper operation. Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions or production issues. Communicate with loader operators, ground crews, mechanics, and supervisors to maintain efficient operations. Perform routine inspections and complete operational reports and logs. Maintain compliance with company safety policies and MSHA regulations. Coordinate maintenance shutdowns and report equipment concerns promptly. Keep work areas clean and organized. Requirements Previous experience in aggregate, mining, asphalt, concrete, or heavy industrial operations preferred Knowledge of crushers, conveyors, screens, and material handling systems Ability to read gauges, computer screens, and plant control systems Strong problem-solving and communication skills Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Strong understanding of mine site safety procedures and practices. Must be able to climb stairs, work at heights, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
