Hourly Pay:
$37 -$48We are seeking an experienced Power Plant Operator to support the operations and maintenance of a cogeneration (combined heat & power) facility in San Diego. This role is critical to ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient plant performance while supporting a complex system of gas turbine generation, steam production, and chilling systems.

You will work both independently and alongside plant leadership to monitor equipment, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvement across plant operations.

What You Will Be DoingOperate, monitor, and maintain plant equipment including gas turbines, heat recovery boilers, auxiliary boilers, chillers, and balance of plant systemsPerform preventative and corrective maintenance to ensure optimal performance and uptimeMaintain operating logs, trends, and reports for plant performance trackingIdentify and respond to safety hazards, ensuring compliance with all site and regulatory requirementsConduct safety briefings, orientations, and actively contribute to site safety initiativesTroubleshoot operational issues and support root cause analysis (RCA) for plant eventsSupport project initiatives, SOP development, and process improvementsCoordinate with vendors and contractors on maintenance and overhaul activitiesMonitor plant performance metrics and recommend improvements to efficiency and cost effectivenessUse CMMS systems to track work orders, maintenance, and inventoryWhat You Will Need For This JobHigh School Diploma or GED5+ years of hands-on power plant or industrial O&M experienceStrong understanding of Gas turbine systems, steam and boiler operations, mechanical and absorption chillers, PLC/DCS controls (Rockwell preferred), electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systemsAbility to read and interpret P&IDs, schematics, and blueprintsExperience with CMMS and maintenance tracking systemsStrong communication and troubleshooting skillsWhat's In It For YouFull Benefit's Package (Medical, Dental, Vision, PTO, 401K with Match! & More!!)If interested, Please send an updated resume with desired salary pay to
