PLANT OPERATIONS TECHNICIAN
Responsible for supporting the safe and efficient operation of the natural gas fractionation plant and rail terminal , including monitoring plant operations, product handling and transfer, compression systems, and performing cross-functional maintenance and inspection duties. This position is responsible for ensuring optimal facility performance through operational oversight, preventative maintenance, and coordination with maintenance and technical teams.
POSITION FUNCTIONS
Monitor and record plant operations, including gauges, pressures, temperatures, gas throughput, liquid production, and system performance Perform rail terminal operations , including loading/unloading railcars, verifying product transfer, and ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements Conduct routine and preventative maintenance on plant and terminal equipment, including compressors, pumps, valves, pipelines, loading racks, and associated systems Assist Maintenance and I&E Technicians with troubleshooting, repairs, and major maintenance projects Perform equipment inspections , identify deficiencies, and communicate findings for corrective action Support lockout/tagout (LOTO), confined space, and hot work procedures in accordance with company and OSHA safety standards Complete all required reporting, including environmental, safety, operational, downtime, and maintenance documentation Start, stop, and adjust plant equipment including compressors, fractionation systems, and process skids Maintain rail terminal/ natural gas fractionation plant compliance , including spill prevention, product accountability, and transfer documentation Ensure proper housekeeping and safe working conditions across plant and terminal operations Respond to operational upsets and emergency situations in a timely and effective manner Ensure compliance with all Company policies, safety regulations, and applicable federal/state regulations Conduct petroleum tanker operations, including loading/unloading tankers, pressures, temperatures, gas throughput, liquid production, and system performance Monitor natural gas and transmix processing, perform troubleshooting and resolve issues in accordance with company procedures

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, industrial maintenance, or related technical experience is preferred.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required
- 2+ years of experience in gas processing, fractionation, rail terminal operations, or industrial maintenance , or completion of a Process Technology program
- Working knowledge of plant operations, mechanical systems, and maintenance practices Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to safely perform maintenance tasks using hand and power tools Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills Must pass pre-employment drug screen and be subject to random testing Ability to respond to emergencies and work in a safety-sensitive environment Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. Capable of performing physically demanding tasks including climbing, bending, kneeling, and working in confined spaces Ability to work at heights, on catwalks, and in extreme weather conditions Ability to operate forklifts and light industrial equipment
SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS
Required to work a minimum of four (4) twelve-hour shifts per week. Must be available to work additional hours, including overtime, as needed to provide vacation, training, and operational coverage. Must be available for on-call duty during off-hours and may be required to respond to operational issues, emergencies, or unscheduled employee absences. Shifts may include either day or night schedules and may rotate based on operational needs. Required to work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule and support both plant operations and rail terminal activities, including truck and rail loading operations.
