Full Job Description Position Summary:
Provides administrative and operational support for Radiology and related departments by coordinating payroll, scheduling, procurement, regulatory compliance, accreditation activities, and departmental records. Ensures accurate documentation, reporting, and efficient departmental operations while supporting physicians, staff, and regulatory requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee the reconciliation of monthly charges for all outpatient and inpatient Radiology and related departments. Maintain up-to-date records of equipment repairs and preventive maintenance for all equipment located within outpatient and inpatient departments. Process and maintain departmental licenses and permits, including those required by the Department of Health, Bureau of Radiation Control, Occupational Licensing authorities, and the City of Hialeah. Create ad hoc reports for physicians and departmental leadership as needed. Coordinate procurement activities for all Radiology departments. Assist with ACR, MQSA, and Nuclear Medicine accreditation processes and requirements. Coordinate and facilitate Radiation Safety Committee meetings. Process and oversee weekly payroll activities for assigned departments. Oversee and maintain the distribution of radiation exposure reports and exposure notification letters, as well as the ordering, distribution, and mailing of radiation badges for hospital personnel. Coordinate and maintain monthly on-call schedules for technologists and monthly schedules for radiologists. Maintain and update technologist licensure records and files. Maintain records and documentation of departmental meeting minutes. Maintain records of annual physicist evaluations. Coordinate the ordering and inventory of departmental office supplies. Oversee and track invoice processing to ensure timely payment and accurate recordkeeping. Assist the Medical Records Department with legal subpoena requests and related records retrieval. Performs other duties assigned by Director.
Required KnowledgeSkills:
Good oral communication in the English Language Visual and hearing senses must be adequate to assess/detect changes in human physiological condition. Position may require working irregular hours under stressful conditions, rotations shift, holidays, and weekends. Able to function calmly and a fast paced, stressful environment. Demonstrates ability to adapt to the varied age specific populations. Demonstrates flexibility and confidentiality in all aspects of the position.
