PM Contract Duration:
90 Days Job Overview Unity Health is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Nuclear Medicine Technician for a full-time onsite contract assignment in Athens, GA. The ideal candidate will have experience operating nuclear medicine imaging equipment, administering radiopharmaceuticals, and ensuring high-quality diagnostic imaging while following all radiation safety standards. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a respected healthcare organization in a supportive clinical environment. Key Responsibilities Operate nuclear medicine cameras and imaging equipment to capture diagnostic images Position patients accurately and select proper technical imaging factors Prepare, administer, and properly dispose of radiopharmaceuticals according to protocol Follow radiation safety procedures and departmental guidelines Ensure accurate and timely submission of images and documentation to PACS Verify image quality, patient information, and lead markers Monitor equipment performance and report malfunctions promptly Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe department environment Follow lockout/tagout procedures when required RequirementsMinimum Qualifications Minimum 2 years of Nuclear Medicine Technician experience Strong understanding of radiation safety practices Experience with PACS and diagnostic imaging procedures Ability to work independently in a fast-paced healthcare environment Preferred Skills Excellent patient care and communication skills Strong attention to detail Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively
