Job Summary We are seeking applicants for an Plant Operator in our advanced plastic recycling facility. The operator will play a key role in keeping the facility running at full capacity, contributing to the development of daily processes, data management, and routines essential for the smooth operation of our facility. Duties Monitor the production process and proactively identify issues to reduce downtime and optimize process efficiency. Maintain detailed logs of material types, weights, run times, and other relevant data. Perform routine cleaning and maintenance on equipment to ensure consistent operation. Coordinate with other operators/technicians to ensure smooth shift transitions. Optimize extruder performance by regulating parameters based on material type. Ensure the extruder operates smoothly by removing blockages and troubleshooting malfunctions. Perform maintenance and minor repairs on forklifts and other machinery as necessary. Additional responsibilities as required. Skills/Abilities Strong attention to detail Strong problem solving and process improvement skills Data entry and related computer skills Ability to prioritize multiple tasks Ability to work well with others Ability to listen and communicate well verbally and in writing Ability to work independently and in groups Strong process management skills Eager to learn and work in a fast-paced environment Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent 2+ years of hands-on experience in industrial operations U.S. work authorization Completion of a drug screen Preferred Qualifications Available to start ASAP Secondary education or an industrial diploma/degree Plastic pyrolysis systems experience Experience with data management software OSHA safety and industrial process certifications Forklift operator certification Schedule Night shift 12 hour shifts (6pm to 6am) 14 day rotating schedule with alternating weekends off OT every pay period
