Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Full-Time Asphalt Plant Operator and be at the forefront of producing high-quality asphalt for infrastructure and construction projects. In this vital role, you'll operate and maintain asphalt plant equipment, ensuring smooth, efficient, and safe plant operations. Your expertise will contribute to delivering durable paving solutions while adhering to safety standards and environmental regulations. This position offers an energetic work environment where proactive problem-solving and mechanical skills are highly valued. Duties Operate asphalt plant machinery, including feed systems, dryers, mixers, and control panels to produce consistent asphalt mixes. Monitor plant operations continuously, adjusting controls to maintain quality standards and production efficiency. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment such as conveyors, crushers, and silos to prevent downtime. Manage material handling equipment like forklifts for loading raw materials and finished products safely and efficiently. Assist with fabrication or repair of plant components using welding, machining, or other mechanical techniques as needed. Maintain detailed records of production data, equipment performance, and safety checks to ensure compliance with company policies. Support warehouse activities by organizing inventory of raw materials and finished products in a safe manner. Requirements Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, concrete mixers, or similar machinery in a manufacturing or construction setting. Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on plant equipment. Skills in welding, fabrication, machining or concrete forming are highly desirable. Prior warehouse experience is beneficial for managing raw materials and finished goods efficiently. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety protocols. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for record keeping and quality control. Relevant certifications in heavy equipment operation or safety standards are a plus.
