This position will perform a range of activities to support a utility scale gas turbine power plant with a fast expanding energy company supporting assets across the U.S. Various types of power plant and industrial trades experience will be considered including Instrumentation & Controls, Electrical, Mechanical, and Operations. Candidates with Navy, Nuclear, Combined Cycle, Simple Cycle, Coal Fired, Waste to Energy, and Gas Fired Boiler plants would be an ideal fit. Overtime is built in to the position and wages are competitive for the area.
Job Description:
Proficient at repairing, replacing, dismantling and inspecting defective plant equipment such as pumps, valves, fans, gearboxes, demineralizers, compressors and turbine components Perform piping and conduit installation in the plant for system upgrades and modifications Competently operates and maintains power generating facility equipment with minimal guidance or assistance as directed by and in coordination with plant management Maintains equipment by tightening fittings, replacing valve packing, gaskets, valves, and gauges. Cleaning, replacing, oiling and lubricating other component parts and equipment as required. Reads meters, gauges, or automatic devices to record data such as temperature of equipment, vibration of equipment, hours of operation, pressure, and fluid levels, water chemistry to verify operating conditions Assist with operations of the equipment and monitor operational parameters, ensuring reliably and continuous operability of equipment Operate and maintain a wide variety of power plant equipment Maintain operations of chemical pumping system ensuring optimal chemistry control and equipment reliability Assist with maintenance activities to included mechanical work, instrumentation and electrical repair activities Adept at troubleshooting and diagnosing problems with mechanical equipment and possesses the ability to apply a resolution in a timely manner Participate in the plant's preventive maintenance program by performing routine maintenance duties, including use of the CMMS and the collection of trending information for the Operations or Maintenance Manager Assist in maintaining and controlling spare parts inventory to maintain plant reliability. Assist in physical inventories. Strictly adheres to all safety and environmental rules and regulations. Fully support and participate in Safety and Regulatory Compliance Programs Complete other tasks as requested #ENG1
