Job Description
Boiler/Wastewater Operations Supervisor, Utilities and Industrial SystemsDirect Hire/PermShift - Monday thru Friday, Day shift ( some shift flex), with some Saturday work as/when needed.

Key Responsibilities of this key role:
Lead, schedule, and guide operators working in wastewater and boiler system areas.
Provide training, coaching, and ongoing support to maintain safe and consistent work practices.
Review employee performance and assist management with staffing and development decisions.
Act as the primary contact for operational concerns during assigned shifts.
Operational OversightManage daily wastewater processing activities, including equipment performance checks, sampling, and required reporting.
Ensure boiler systems operate within safety, efficiency, and environmental expectations, reviewing logs and addressing irregularities.
Coordinate preventive maintenance tasks and verify accurate documentation of inspections and equipment records.
Maintain compliance with all applicable environmental and safety regulations.
Maintenance and Technical SupportSupervise preventive maintenance for pumps, motors, centrifuges, boilers, compressors, water treatment systems, and related equipment.
Apply mechanical knowledge to diagnose issues and support timely repairs.
Use troubleshooting skills to reduce downtime and maintain system reliability.
Interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics to support repair and maintenance work.
Collaborate with maintenance teams on repairs, upgrades, and installations.
Safety and QualityEnforce safety programs including lockout tagout, confined space entry, and PPE requirements.
Promote a workplace culture focused on safety, accountability, and teamwork.
Verify that wastewater and boiler operations meet internal quality expectations.
Administrative and ReportingMaintain accurate operational, maintenance, and compliance records.
Assist in developing and updating standard operating procedures and process improvements.
Communicate system issues, incidents, and improvement opportunities to management.
QualificationsQualified pros will bring with them 3 to 5 years, OR MORE, of direct experience in wastewater operations, STEAM BOILER systems ( a BIG Must have), or industrial utilities; supervisory experience preferred.
High School Diploma or GED required; technical training or state level certification in wastewater or boiler operations strongly preferred.
Strong mechanical aptitude with proven troubleshooting ability.
Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, schematics, and equipment instructions.
Experience with industrial equipment maintenance and safety practices.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and navigate stairs throughout the facility.
Strong communication, leadership, and problem solving skills.
