Job Description

Mago Construction Company is a family-owned and operated construction contractor and materials producer based out of Bardstown, KY with site grading, asphalt paving, road and utility construction operations throughout the state of Kentucky. Job Overview We are seeking a Plant Operator to join our team! An Asphalt Plant Operator oversees the production of hot mix asphalt, operates and maintains plant machinery, ensures quality control, and adheres to safety regulations. Plant Operators are responsible for managing the production of asphalt materials used in road construction and other projects.
Key duties include:
Operating plant machinery Monitoring temperatures, mixture consistency, and production processes to ensure quality standards are met. Conducting routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment, including greasing, fluid checks, and cleaning. Collaborating with quality control teams to inspect asphalt batches and stockpile aggregates. Coordinating with truck drivers, dispatchers, and road crews for loading and delivery of asphalt. Maintaining production records, inventory, and safety documentation. Training and supervising less experienced operators or general laborers when required. Qualifications and Skills High school diploma or equivalent. Three to five years of industry experience Technical skills in machinery operation, basic repairs, welding, and electronics are advantageous.
Pay:
From $25.00 per hour
