Position:
VCM PSM Supervisor Reports to: VCM 1
Superintendent Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Works routinely and seamlessly with VCM unit DCCs to ensure OSHA's PSM standards are followed. Works with Unit Training Supervisor to ensure changes generated with MOCs affecting operations are captured in operator training, procedures, and training manuals. Tracks and participates in all MOC's from start to completion including PSSR execution and tracking as determined by MOC. Conducts periodic MOC audits. Oversees and participates in MOC status meetings. Participates in updating the MOC tracking databases. Reviews all VCM controlled documentation for accuracy as completion including but not limited to procedures, round sheets, checklists, and inspections. Participates in PSM and Insurance audits. Monitors and updates VCM Unit Action Tracker as needed. Ensures SOM and SOP annual review and updates are completed. Acts as PSM support for turnarounds for all VCM units. Works with all VCM units for information sharing, especially with MOC creation. Acts as PSM support for all major plant maintenance/outages for assigned VCM unit. Manages Day Rover position and scheduling in assigned VCM unit. Participates in RCA investigations. Participates in weekly operations information meetings. Participates in operator verbal testing as needed. Assists the unit management as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
Required High School diploma/GED equivalent. Minimum of 5 years' experience in manufacturing or related military experience. An accredited Associate's degree in Chemical Process or Chemical Technology or Chemical Process Certificate is required in lieu of experience. 6 months of supervisory experience. Full VCM Operator certification. Preferred 7 Years of VCM experience. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Microsoft Office applications required. Mechanical aptitude and ability. Well-developed interpersonal, oral communication, and writing skills. 5+ years of experience in Petrochemical Operations. Flexible, adaptable, and organized; can handle numerous tasks simultaneously without losing focus; ability to properly prioritize work. Self-motivated and able to perform with minimal supervision. Ability to work within a team environment - understands role and purpose in the overall team. Detail-minded and delivers quality work products. High commitment to work processes, procedures, and systems.
Physical Requirements :
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to access all plant areas. Use of PPE required in specific areas. Regularly required to push, pull, bend, and perform long periods of standing and walking on cement foundations. Climb stairs, straight ladders, and structures, etc. Occasionally required to stoop and kneel. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Must be able to coordinate the movement of eyes, hands, feet, and fingers to operate tools and equipment. Emergency Response Team Participation (optional). (Fire, Rescue, and Hazmat) Must be clean-shaven. Required to be medically certified for respirator and medically fit for duty. Work in all weather conditions, under emergency conditions, and for prolonged periods of time.
