10:00 PM - 6:00 AM Job Description 1. Safety Comply with all aspects of the Safety Management System Identify, report, and help eliminate hazards with team members Complete all required safety training 2. Process Operations Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of equipment used in sludge processing, including dewatering, drying, lime stabilization, and truck and rail loading. Operate and monitor equipment including dryers, RTOs, centrifuges, polymer systems, pumps, conveyors, valves, tanks, chemical feed systems, and air compressors 3. Operations, Maintenance & Compliance Operate plant systems in accordance with procedures and maintain process parameters Collect samples and record operating data (flows, temperatures, pressures) Complete all required documentation including logs, inspections, permits (LOTO, confined space, hot work), and work orders Maintain plant records and ensure compliance with permits, design requirements, and product quality standards Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and cleaning (including confined space entry) Identify and report equipment issues or unsafe conditions Initiate emergency procedures as needed 4. General Duties Monitor materials, supplies, and inventory levels and notify management as needed Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment Support safe, efficient material handling and processing Perform housekeeping duties such as sweeping and shoveling 5. Skills, Competencies & Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent 1+ year of experience in a plant or industrial environment Must obtain MA Hoisting Licenses (1C, 2A, 3A) within 6 months Strong communication and teamwork skills Attention to detail and operational awareness Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces Demonstrate safety focus, reliability, accountability, and the ability to work effectively with others
