Job Description

Invasive Plant Management Specialist Environmental Quality Resources is seeking an Entry-Level Invasive Plant Management Specialist to support invasive species control and ecological restoration projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. This role focuses on the safe application of herbicides and accurate plant identification in field environments.
Job Requirements:
Safely handle, mix, and apply herbicides for invasive plant control in accordance with federal, state, and company regulations Positively identify invasive and native plant species in the Mid-Atlantic region Operate and maintain sprayers, pumps, and small engine equipment Support reforestation and afforestation project goals Work alongside field crews and communicate with project inspectors Follow all safety and environmental compliance standards Qualifications Background in invasive species management, environmental science, forestry, horticulture or related field preferred Experience working with herbicides or regulated chemicals preferred Strong plant identification skills required Ability to obtain a Maryland Commercial Pesticide Applicator's License and reciprocity in other Mid-Atlantic states, including Virginia Valid driver's license required; ability to obtain a DOT certification Experience driving a truck with a trailer preferred Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
