Job Description
JOB Water Treatment Utilities Mechanic IInformationPay Range (Grade): $23.78 - $41.61 (H400)
Essential DutiesMaintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment and components associated with water treatment systems and facilities. Install new and replacement equipment and components.
Coordinate major equipment repair with vendors and contractors. Assist with work as required.
Assist in the operation of water treatment systems, facilities, and specialized equipment as required.
Maintain vehicles, equipment, and tools.
Collect samples, compile data, and complete routine paperwork, including logs and reports.
Maintain parts and hardware inventory.
Follow all established safety rules and regulations. Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment.
Ensure all work is complete and timely to support department goals. Evaluate feedback and procedures to improve efficiency.
Invite collaboration and seek learning opportunities. Proactively assist peers to create a supportive work environment.

Will be required to work outside of standard hours.

Working ConditionsFrequent exposure to potentially adverse environmental conditions, including, but not limited to, chemicals, noise, and airborne particles.
Frequent physical activity: lifting and carrying over 50lbs, climbing ladders and steps, standing/walking, pushing/pulling, bending, reaching, squatting, stooping, kneeling, and related activities.
Must wear appropriate PPE as required.
