Crusher Plant Operator (Lewiston Quarry)

Job Description Gendron Aggregates is seeking a Crusher Plant Operator to join our team in Lewiston, ME. The Crusher Plant Operator position requires the running of a stationary rock and recycled material crushing plant for the production of quality aggregates. Knowledge of aggregate sizing and classifications is a plus. Attention to detail is required while staying focused on safety and staying self-motivated. Prior MSHA training along with Crusher Operator experience and knowledge is preferred but not required if a candidate has comparable skills that can be trained. Qualifications Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Highly dependable, ability to work in fast paced environment Experience with operating heavy equipment including loaders, skid steers, and crushing and screening equipment Mechanical aptitude - helping with maintenance will be required frequently Understanding of aggregate and construction materials such as sand, gravel, crushed rock, etc.

Physical requirements:

using various hand tools, working in inclement weather, able to lift/move up to 100 lbs., climbing, walking and standing Job scope to include any or all of the following: Operate/program the automated crushing and screening equipment for the Lewiston quarry Perform daily inspections of the plant equipment, mobile equipment and plant site to ensure safe, reliable and compliant operations to maximize production and minimize interruptions Visually observe and monitor gauges and of all equipment while in operation to maintain proper flow of material on belts, crushers and screens Perform routine maintenance on conveyor belts and crushing equipment including splicing, replacing idlers, pulleys, drive belts, bearings, changing of screens, cleaning and lubrication Maintain strong communications with all other plant employees to ensure efficient and safe workflow from quarry to crusher Other duties as assigned by Quarry manager •All new hires will be subject to a physical examination before being able to report to work •
