Job Description
Turn on the power plant system, load its fuel source, and adjust the power output using multiple control systems Analyze operational parameters such as temperature, pressure, flow rates, and voltages to ensure optimal performance and identify abnormalities Routine inspections to ensure the smooth and safe operation of power plant equipment Monitor and inspect all components to identify any issues Cleaning each piece of equipment helps maintain its efficiency Scheduling checks depending on the equipment and the facility Monitoring of the plant's output, gauge safety parameters and make adjustments as necessary Start or Stop Generators turbines in a power plant for regular maintenance and other necessary steps Ensuring safety protocols and compliance with industry regulations Perform regular safety checks help prevent accidents and maintain a secure working environment Communicate with systems operators to regulate and coordinate transmission loads and frequencies, and line voltages. Examine and test electrical power distribution machinery and equipment, using testing devices. Inspect records and logbook entries, and communicate with other plant personnel, in order to assess equipment operating status. Receive outage calls and call-in necessary personnel during power outages and emergencies Record and compile operational data, completing and maintaining forms, logs, and reports. Using either control mechanisms or direct physical activity to operate machines or processes (not including computers or vehicles). Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems. Documenting/Recording Information - Entering, transcribing, recording, storing, or maintaining
