Position Summary:
The Batch Plant Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring ready-mix concrete batching systems to ensure the accurate production and delivery of high-quality concrete products. The role oversees the batching process, including the measurement and mixing of raw materials, quality control, inventory management, and coordination with dispatch, drivers, and production personnel.
Job Description:
Operate computerized batching systems to product concrete according to specified mix designs. Monitor moisture content, aggregate weights, and other variables to ensure consistency and quality. Conduct routine checks on raw materials and finished concrete to ensure compliance with specifications. Perform daily inspections and routine maintenance of batching equipment. Report and coordinate repairs with maintenance personnel to minimize downtime. Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in concrete production or plant operations preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment. Excellent organizational and communication skills.
