Loader:
Our client, a well-established chemical manufacturing facility in Copley, Ohio, is seeking a dependable Loader to join their operations team. This role is responsible for the safe loading, unloading, handling, and movement of chemical products and raw materials. The Loader supports daily manufacturing, logistics, and distribution activities while maintaining strict compliance with environmental, health, safety, and security standards. This position also provides hands-on exposure to plant operations, logistics coordination, vendor interaction, and basic maintenance support, including assisting with industrial piping tasks as needed.
Shift:
Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM Rotating weekend rounds every 3rd weekend
Pay:
$24.00 to $26.00 per hour, based on experience
Key Responsibilities:
Perform all duties safely and in full compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements Load and unload railcars and trucks to support production and shipping schedules, with most work performed outdoors Determine proper loading levels using outage tables and verify correct product, quantity, and specifications Move railcars as needed for loading and unloading operations Assist company drivers and outside carriers during loading and unloading activities Receive inbound deliveries, verify materials against packing slips, and forward documentation to administrative staff Maintain housekeeping in loading areas, containment zones, and general plant spaces, including pumping down containment pads Coordinate drum loading needs with plant leadership Fill, label, palletize, wrap, store, and stage drums according to product and regulatory requirements Transport empty drums to loading areas and move finished pallets to designated storage locations Prepare drum orders for shipment and load them onto carriers, ensuring accuracy with bills of lading Complete bills of lading and packing slips accurately and fully Assist with basic plant and equipment support as needed, including: Supporting industrial pipefitting work on plant piping systems such as measuring, cutting, fitting, and installing piping and related components Performing basic welding on industrial piping and supports as assigned, following plant safety procedures and required permits
Minimum Requirements:
Experience in a chemical or industrial plant environment preferred Knowledge of hazardous materials handling, PPE, lockout tagout, and industrial safety practices is a plus Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions Forklift experience required Manlift or bobcat experience or certification preferred Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and wear required respiratory protection Ability to work weekends, overtime, and rotating shifts as needed Pipefitting and welding experience on industrial piping preferred, or willingness to learn with prior mechanical or industrial background
