Job Description
Plant Operator - 2nd shift Tiffin, OH 44883 Full-time Full-time We have an immediate opening for a second shift Plant Operator for our Dry Fines Plant (DFP). This position is responsible for operating the plant in a safe and productive mode through continuous monitoring of the plant's operation. Some of the main responsibilities are:
- Ability to understand the plant's functions and controls to operate the plant safely at all times
- Starting up and shutting down the plant effectively on a day-to-day basis
- Monitoring inventory levels and acting accordingly to maximize productivity
- Keeping the plant area clean near the loading and scale areas at all times
- Effectively communicating with the loader operator to maintain production levels
- Loading trucks with dry fines material safely and with timed precision
- Communicating with truck drivers to ensure proper loading protocol and safety
- Generating tickets as needed for individual truck loads
- Monitoring plant equipment to ensure proper and timely maintenance
- Willing to work extended hours at different times based on peak customer requirements
