Job description:
The Power Plant Operator monitors, inspects, and maintains secondary plant equipment—such as turbines, pumps, fans, compressors, and boilers—to support primary operations in our power plant. You'll troubleshoot, perform preventive maintenance, and assist with startups/shutdowns, requiring high attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols. Key Responsibilities Continuously check gauges, panels, and equipment for proper operation, adjusting controls for optimal performance. Conduct routine inspections of machinery, perform preventive maintenance, and report or repair malfunctioning equipment. Adhere to strict safety protocols, including lock-out/tag-out procedures, to prevent accidents. Assist control room operators with startup, shutdown, and emergency procedures. Log operational data and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities Requirements and Qualifications Be at least 18 years or older High school diploma or GED Valid Driver's license 2+ years of experience in a power plant with any gas turbine or boiler experience a plus #ENG1
