Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented HRSG (Heat Recovery Steam Generator) Commissioning Advisor to lead and oversee the commissioning process of HRSG systems within power plants. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex system integration, ensuring that all components operate seamlessly and safely. Expenses and Per Diem :

$68 per day per diem for meals, all other expenses reimbursed.

R&R :

Once per month for a long weekend

Working Hours:

40 hours Mon-Fri with high possibilities of going to 60-72 hours depending on the needs of the project. Overview Lead commissioning execution for Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG) systems at a major power generation facility. Own procedure validation, mechanical completion verification, system testing, and documentation through operational handover. This role demands hands-on technical leadership across pre-commissioning through first fire activities. Key Responsibilities Validate commissioning procedures, test plans, and method statements for HRSG compliance Verify mechanical completion and systems readiness per design specifications Coordinate and supervise flushing, cleaning, blowdown, and hydrostatic/pressure testing Manage instrumentation calibration and verification Lead system walkdowns; identify and close punch list items Oversee steam blowing, chemical cleaning, and first fire activities Monitor safety valve operation, damper performance, and auxiliary equipment function Ensure all activities meet site safety and permit-to-work requirements Troubleshoot commissioning issues; recommend and implement corrective actions Support performance and guarantee testing activities Train operations personnel on HRSG systems, procedures, and maintenance Prepare commissioning reports and support final system turnover Required Qualifications 10+ years direct experience commissioning HRSGs in power generation Strong technical knowledge of gas turbine power plants and HRSG systems Fluent English (written and verbal) Preferred Leadership and project management experience Problem-solving and root-cause analysis capabilities Field commissioning and start-up execution in organized, safety-focused environments

$70.00 - $90.00 per hour
