Job Description

Job Overview Position Requirements:
This is an entry level position responsible for performing a wide variety of tasks in the nuclear industry. This position offers a gateway for those that are interested in entering into the field of Health Physics / Radiological Services.
Experience Level:
Minimum-High School Diploma, additional education or prior industrial and/or construction experience is a plus; 40-hour Hazwoper is a plus.

Position Summary:
The Process Technician position will be based at the Company's radioactive material consolidation facility in Oak Ridge, TN. The Process Technician will support radiological waste packaging operations in Oak Ridge TN. Tasks also include support of field projects at client facilities by performing radiological surveys, material packaging and other related activities. Work will involve successfully completing training and qualification programs including completing medical exams required for the position. Work will include the use of hand tools and other instruments, after completion of training. Previous forklift instruction is a plus. Ability to perform duties in industrial environments and industrial settings. This will include standing for long periods on concrete floors, performing tasks repeatedly, bending, crouching, lifting, carrying, training and qualification on forklift/specialized equipment/instrumentation. Training on the proper usage and wearing of safety equipment/clothing will be provided. The comprehensive training and certifications this position offers will allow the proper candidate an outstanding opportunity towards pursuing a career in health physics services.
Position Qualifications & Experience Needed:
Work in a construction / industrial environment is a plus. Radiological service experience is a plus. On the job training will be provided. Candidate has opportunity to gain necessary experience and skills for a career in nuclear industry.
