Batch Plant Operator

Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Batch Plant Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will oversee the operation of concrete batching plants, ensuring the efficient production of high-quality concrete products. Your expertise will help maintain smooth plant operations, uphold safety standards, and support construction and manufacturing projects. Duties Operate and monitor concrete batching equipment, including mixers, conveyors, and silos, to ensure accurate mix proportions and timely production. Manage raw material inventory, including aggregates, cement, and additives, coordinating with warehouse staff for timely restocking. Conduct routine inspections of plant machinery and heavy equipment such as forklifts and cranes to maintain optimal functionality and safety. Perform basic welding, fabrication, and mechanical repairs on plant components to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation. Maintain detailed records of batch production, equipment maintenance, and safety inspections for compliance and reporting purposes. Assist with concrete forming and finishing processes on construction sites as needed to support project deadlines. Follow all safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation, welding, machining, and plant operations to create a secure work environment. Experience Proven experience operating heavy machinery such as forklifts, concrete mixers, or other manufacturing equipment. Mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic welding, fabrication, and machining tasks. Background in construction or manufacturing environments involving concrete forming or finishing is highly desirable. Warehouse experience including inventory management and material handling is a plus. Familiarity with concrete batching processes, quality control standards, and safety regulations related to plant operations. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues quickly and effectively. Prior experience working with heavy equipment operation or in a construction setting will help ensure success in this role.
