Responsibilities:
How you'll make an impact in this role Operates and controls primary power generation and HVAC systems, including boilers, turbines, generators, reactors, chillers, and cooling towers using control boards and computers. Monitors facility equipment, meters, gauges, and charts at regular intervals to regulate power flow, adjust fluid levels, and detect operational problems. Performs preventive maintenance, cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs—such as tightening leaking glands and pipe joints—to prevent equipment deterioration or failure. Records and compiles operational data in logs, forms, and reports, and documents equipment malfunctions to ensure accurate tracking of plant status. Responds to power outages and emergencies by handling outage calls, summoning necessary personnel, and participating in mandatory meetings, training, and special projects.
