Utility Technician III - Stevens Filter Plant City of Corpus Christi - 3.5 Corpus Christi, TX Job Details Full-time $20.60 - $33.76 an hour 7 hours ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Driver's License Full Job Description Overview The Utility Technician Ill performs routine, preventative, and corrective maintenance as well as complete internal plant projects to ensure the facility continues to operate and provide an uninterrupted water supply to the distribution system that meets state and federal regulations. The tasks of this position include operations and maintenance of satellite locations (pump stations and elevated storage tanks). Responsibilities Identifies maintenance requirements and complete preventative, corrective, and routine maintenance work orders on plant and satellite facility assets in the City's Maximo system, including logging material, time, and work performed Operates and maintains equipment including, forklift, backhoe, overhead cranes, mobile cranes, generators, water pumps, chemical feed pumps, actuators, and valves Oversee internal plant projects including corrective maintenance and upgrades, and lead a team of technicians to completion Identifies materials and equipment needed for internal plant projects and determines the most efficient method for completion Coordinates internal and external resources while meeting time requirements Samples and verifies water monitoring equipment using special handheld laboratory instruments such as Hach SL1000, DR900, pH probes, and others Position Type and Typical Hours of Work
- Non-Exempt - Full-Time - 40-hour work week
- Must be available to work additional hours as needed
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is a schedule requirement

- High School Diploma/GED
- Three (3) years of experience Licenses and Certifications Required
- A valid driver's license is required; successful out-of-state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hiring
- TCEQ Class C Water License Employment Testing Employment is contingent on passing any post-offer pre-employment screening as listed below:
