Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) - Houston, TX Position Overview We are seeking a motivated and experienced Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) to join our team in Houston, Texas . This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in establishing and expanding operations in a new market. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, adaptable, and ready to contribute both strategically and in the field. Key Responsibilities Oversee and manage all aspects of the company's radiation safety program in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations Ensure adherence to NRC/Agreement State requirements and company safety policies Conduct radiation safety training for employees and clients Perform audits, inspections, and incident reporting as required Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies Maintain proper documentation, licensing, and compliance records Support field operations as needed, including on-site radiation safety oversight Qualifications Current certification and/or qualifications to serve as a Radiation Safety Officer Strong working knowledge of NRC and/or Agreement State regulations Experience in radiation safety management (industry experience preferred) Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced, startup-style environment Strong communication and organizational skills Willingness to perform field work when required What We Offer Competitive salary (based on experience level) Opportunity to help build and lead a growing operation in a new territory Exposure to both field and leadership responsibilities A dynamic environment for career growth and advancement Why Join Us?
