Job Description

Overview The Field Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation, monitoring, and maintenance of oil and gas production equipment, including compressor systems and associated facilities. This role supports daily production operations, ensures equipment reliability, and maintains compliance with safety and environmental standards. Responsibilities Operate and monitor oil and gas production equipment, including compressors, separators, and related systems. Perform routine inspections of wells, compressor stations, and production facilities. Start up, shut down, and adjust equipment to maintain optimal production levels. Monitor pressures, temperatures, flow rates, and other operating conditions. Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting on compressors and associated equipment. Identify and report equipment issues, leaks, or abnormal operating conditions. Complete daily logs, reports, and regulatory documentation. Ensure compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and environmental regulations. Coordinate with maintenance teams and supervisors to address operational needs. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Qualifications High school diploma or GED equiavlent required. 1+ years of experience in oil & gas production or compressor operations preferred. Experience with compressor engines (e.g., Ariel, Caterpillar, Waukesha, or similar) is a plus. Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Familiarity with production equipment such as separators, tanks, and dehydration systems. Ability to read gauges, meters, and basic schematics. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment as needed. Must meet conditional job offer requirements including background, drug test, MVR, agility and fit for duty.
