DOE Overview:
The Lease Operator is responsible for safely operating and monitoring wells and production equipment to ensure efficient and reliable operations. This role supports daily production activities, performs routine maintenance, monitors well performance, and assists with troubleshooting and optimization efforts. The ideal candidate will have experience with pumping operations, gas lift systems, ESPs, and plunger lift systems.
Responsibilities:
Operate wells and production equipment in accordance with safety and operating procedures. Monitor well performance and identify opportunities for optimization and corrective action. Participate in daily safety meetings, toolbox talks, and emergency response activities. Maintain accurate operational records, logs, and shift handover reports. Coordinate and monitor preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities. Perform routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance tasks. Collect product samples and conduct field laboratory testing as required. Report operational issues, equipment alarms, incidents, and abnormal conditions. Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure operational continuity. Troubleshoot well production issues and provide accurate diagnostic information. Ensure wellheads and surface equipment are maintained and ready for intervention activities. Support Wellwork operations and other field activities as needed. Maintain compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of production operations/Lease Operator experience required. High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Valid US Driver's License with acceptable driving record required. Knowledge of Gas Lift, ESP (Electric Submersible Pump), and Plunger Lift systems required. Computer proficiency and ability to maintain electronic records and reports. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Knowledge of safety programs, emergency response procedures, and industry regulations. Physical Requirements - Must be able to lift 40 lbs., climb ladders and stairs. Walking, bending stopping is required. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment. Must be able to respond to visual and audible alarms. Must be able to meet all conditional job offer requirements including background, drug test, MVR, agility and fit for duty.
