Must Have:
Experience:
  • Minimum 5+ years of mechanical maintenance experience in a GMP facility — this is the baseline non-negotiable.
  • Candidates from pharma, biotech, or life sciences backgrounds are all valid.
  • Direct, hands-on experience operating and maintaining the following utility systems:
  • Steam boilers (hot water & plant steam)
  • Chillers and chilled water systems
  • Air handling, HVAC , air conditioning & refrigeration
  • Air compressors, dryers, and compressed air systems
  • USP Purified Water systems and clean steam generators (pharma/biotech-specific — critical)
  • Nitrogen systems, natural gas systems
  • Domestic water, sewer, and waste neutralization systems
Technical Skills:
  • Strong troubleshooting ability across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Hands-on HVAC experience, including humidification/dehumidification, and ability to replace compressors, motors, and valves.
  • Ability to read and work from manuals, P&IDs, mechanical drawings, and SOPs.
  • Experience developing and managing PM (Preventive Maintenance) programs and schedules.
  • Familiarity with BMS (Building Management Systems) and electronic maintenance platforms.
  • Ability to assist in equipment commissioning, installation, and validation (IQ/OQ/PQ).
