Experienced Excavation Foreman

Overview Walker Construction is seeking an experienced Excavation Foreman to join our growing team. This is a full-time leadership position for an individual who takes pride in quality work, leading crews, operating equipment, and keeping projects running safely and efficiently. For over 50 years, Walker Construction has proudly served Vermont with excavation, concrete, sitework, foundations, and construction services. We are looking for a motivated foreman who can lead by example and help deliver high quality projects for our customers. Responsibilities Lead and supervise excavation crews on residential and commercial projects Coordinate daily jobsite activities and schedules Operate excavators, loaders, skid steers, and other heavy equipment as needed Read and interpret plans, grades, and site layouts Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule Communicate with project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and customers Monitor crew productivity and jobsite quality Maintain equipment and enforce company safety standards Assist with training and mentoring crew members Qualifications Previous experience as an excavation foreman or lead operator Strong knowledge of sitework, grading, drainage, utilities, foundations, and earthwork Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently Strong leadership and communication skills Valid drivers license required CDL preferred, but not required Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail

Pay:

$29.00 - $34.00 per hour
