Yes About the Role We are seeking a reliable and hands-on Plant Operations Technician I to support the safe and efficient operation of facility and power plant systems. In this role, you'll monitor equipment, respond to facility issues, and help ensure critical systems remain operational—especially during emergencies. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with HVAC and maintenance experience who takes pride in quality work and accountability. Key Responsibilities Monitor, operate, and adjust facility equipment and power plant machinery according to established procedures Oversee emergency power units and support emergency operations Perform power plant restarts following defined protocols Respond to facility trouble calls, troubleshoot issues, and complete necessary repairs Monitor off-site properties and coordinate with appropriate staff or contractors as needed Utilize computerized building automation systems to resolve issues Maintain a strong focus on safety and situational awareness Perform other duties as assigned Required Skills & Qualifications Technical Skills Working knowledge of HVAC systems Experience as a maintenance technician Interpersonal Skills Strong customer service mindset High level of accountability Commitment to quality and reliability Education & Experience Minimum of 1 year of experience in a related field Physical Requirements Constant standing and walking Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 25 lbs (occasionally up to 50 lbs) Frequent reaching, gripping, keyboard use, and data entry Ability to see near and far distances and hear alarms and machinery sounds Occasional bending, climbing, kneeling, crawling, twisting, and repetitive movements Rare driving and use of smell Certifications No professional license or certification required
Job Summary:
Operates and performs routine repairs and preventive maintenance on heating and air conditioning systems, boilers and power plant equipment. Assists with complex and non-routine maintenance tasks.
Job Responsibilities and Requirements:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitors operate and adjust facility equipment and power plant machinery following defined procedures. Monitors emergency power units during emergency operations to assure they operating normally. Performs a restart of power plant operations following defined procedures. Responds to trouble calls in the facility, assesses, troubleshoots and remedies the issue. Monitors off-site properties and notifies appropriate staff and/or contractors to handle problems or concerns. Utilizes the computerized building automation system as appropriate to resolve issues. Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner. Performs other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Constant standing and walking. Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs. Frequent reaching, gripping and keyboard use/data entry. Frequent use of vision for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more). Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc. Occasional bending, stooping, climbing, crawling, kneeling, sitting, squatting, twisting and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements. Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs. Occasional use of vision to judge distances and spatial relationships and to identify and distinguish colors. Rare use of smell to detect/recognize odors. Rare driving.
