Job Description

All North Adams SteepleCats home games are livestreamed on ESPN+ or The NECBL Network. The SteepleCats Livestream Camera Operator Intern will work closely with the Producer/Director, Broadcaster(s), and Sideline Reporter to ensure our broadcast remains among the most professional in the NECBL. It should be noted that the camera operators work from the top of the press box or on top of a scaffold. They must be able to climb a ladder to reach their work locations and be comfortable with heights.
Responsibilities include:
Prepare workstation for livestream, ensuring all video feeds are in place before the livestream begins Work closely during the livestream with the Producer/Director, Broadcaster(s), and Sideline Reporter After the livestream ends the Camera Operator must dismantle and store all camera equipment
Skills:
Basic technical production skills Follow directions from the producer/director Have an eye for detail Basic understanding of baseball's rules and strategies Strong communication skills (in person, phone, e-mail) Ability work in a high-stress environment Commitment to a professional career path Flexibility and adaptability to new situations Willing to work varying hours: potentially early mornings, days, nights, and/or weekends
Additional Information:
This internship is full time at 40 hours/week and runs from mid June to early August. This is an unpaid internship but the SteepleCats provide a free meal at home games and, depending on availability, free local housing for qualified and committed candidates. Eligibility for course credit varies by institution. Your own transportation is encouraged but not necessary. The North Adams SteepleCats is a collegiate summer baseball team, bringing the best college baseball players from across the country to play summer baseball at Joe Wolfe Field in North Adams, MA. The team is part of the New England Collegiate Baseball League, a premier summer league that operates as a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) corporation.
