Job Description

Key Responsibilities Set up, operate, and run Komori sheetfed offset presses (e.g., Lithrone series) Read and interpret job tickets, layouts, and production specs Maintain accurate color density, gray balance, and registration throughout press runs Perform color matching using densitometers and/or spectrophotometers Adjust press settings for a variety of substrates, including paperboard and folding carton stock Monitor ink/water balance and press performance to optimize quality and speed Troubleshoot mechanical and print quality issues to minimize downtime Perform routine maintenance and keep equipment in optimal condition Work closely with prepress and finishing departments to ensure workflow efficiency Maintain a clean, safe, and organized pressroom Qualifications 3+ years of experience operating Komori sheetfed presses (Lithrone preferred) Strong knowledge of Komori console systems and automation features Experience with color control systems (PDC or equivalent) Understanding of ink systems, coatings, and substrate behavior Mechanical aptitude and strong troubleshooting skills Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred) Preferred Skills Experience with UV printing and UV/aqueous coating systems Familiarity with G7 color calibration and process control Folding carton experience including print-to-die registration awareness Knowledge of downstream processes such as die cutting and gluing Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced production environment Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly wage (based on experience) Overtime opportunities Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off and holidays Opportunities for advancement Schedule 1st & 2nd shift availability Overtime and weekend work may be required
