Job Description

As a Prepress Technician, you will bring precision, and technical expertise to ensure print packaging and label projects are flawlessly prepared for production. The candidate will be committed to maintaining the highest standards of quality and consistency by meticulously reviewing and optimizing digital files, managing color accuracy, and ensuring press-ready outputs. This role will bridge the gap between design and production, supporting our team in delivering visually compelling, error-free materials that exceed client expectations and uphold our company's reputation for excellence.
Responsibilities:
Prepare accurate press-ready files based on supplied specifications; make changes as necessary to meet customer approval. Collaborate closely with prepress, customer service, production, and sales personnel about layout, design, and specifications. Utilize knowledge and understanding of prepress and printing capabilities of RLG equipment (flexographic and digital). Participate in prepress activities such as trapping, overprinting, remapping of colors, knockouts, bleeding, and color correction. Troubleshoot design and printing issues. Check overall quality of files and layout impositions; some proof reading and quality control (QC) are required Apply knowledge and understanding of requirements, limitations and process as they pertain to printing and packaging. Follow product timelines to ensure projects are completed on time. Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing tasks as needed. Practice all job, department, and company safety procedures, and follow all job-related quality procedures. Other duties may be assigned.Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required. 0-3+ years of experience in a similar role. Demonstrated graphic design and typographic skills. In-depth knowledge of printing processes and software applications, including Adobe Creative Suite (particularly Illustrator) and MS Office. Preferred knowledge of printing, packaging, and digital and flexographic manufacturing operations. Able to give and receive constructive criticism. Strong analytical, time management, and multitasking skills with the ability to meet deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Meticulous and detail-oriented.Pay Range:
