Job Description

Nesco Resource is currently sourcing for a Digital Large Format Operator for a Design & Fabrication company in Madison Heights, MI.
Shift:
Monday-Thursday 2:30pm-1:00am and Friday 2:30pm-8:30pm as required. OT is required during busy months
Pay Rate:
19hr
Key Responsibilities :
Operate digital large format printers (VUTEK) to produce high-quality printed materials. Prepare print files using graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, RIP software) and ensure proper formatting. Perform color management and calibration to meet customer specifications. Monitor print jobs and adjust settings as necessary to maintain print quality and prevent defects. Inspect final prints for quality, color accuracy, and alignment before approval and delivery. Maintain and troubleshoot printing equipment, including performing routine cleaning and preventive maintenance. Load and unload print materials, including vinyl, paper, fabric, and other substrates. Manage inventory of printing materials and report low stock levels to management. Follow safety procedures when handling inks, solvents, and other printing materials. Collaborate with production teams to meet project deadlines and customer expectations.
Qualifications :
Experience in operating large format digital printers. Familiarity with graphic design software and RIP software. Basic knowledge of color management and printing processes. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines. Good communication and teamwork skills.
Physical Requirements :
Ability to lift and handle large rolls of printing media. Ability to stand for extended periods. Manual dexterity for handling printing equipment and materials.
Preferred Skills :
Knowledge of finishing processes such as lamination, cutting, and mounting. Experience in a signage or print production environment.
