Job Description

Role Summary Our manufacturing department is looking for a meticulous and talented Pressman to help drive our production standards. You will be tasked with the operation and upkeep of diverse printing machinery, ensuring every output meets our rigorous quality benchmarks. Success in this position relies on your technical proficiency in print workflows, color precision, and proactive problem-solving to elevate our overall production efficiency. Core Responsibilities Manage the setup and operation of flexo, Heidelberg, and related equipment to help the team achieve consistent production output. Execute essential prepress functions, including typography, layout, and color calibration, using Adobe Creative Suite to prepare materials for production. Utilize sophisticated color management tools to maintain strict accuracy and uniformity across all print projects. Perform regular quality checks to help the team catch defects early and ensure every product meets exact client specifications. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on flexo presses, CNC units, and other tools to ensure the facility maintains high operational uptime. Collaborate with the prepress department to verify that digital files are perfectly prepared for the printing stage. Handle material transport within the facility by operating forklifts and other auxiliary equipment. Uphold a safe and orderly workspace by strictly adhering to all established industry safety regulations. Support the team by mentoring new hires on proper equipment handling and safety protocols. Contribute to ongoing process improvements to help the department boost efficiency and refine print quality. Required Qualifications At least 5 years of professional experience within a print production environment, with a preference for offset Litho backgrounds. Deep technical understanding of lithographic machinery and related printing processes. Comprehensive skill set in both printing operations and complex prepress workflows. Practical experience using Adobe Creative Suite tools like InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop for file preparation. Extensive familiarity with print advertising standards and advanced color management systems. Strong background in typography, graphic design principles, and end-to-end print production. Expertise in quality assurance methods to help the team minimize errors and maintain high standards. Advanced troubleshooting abilities to resolve technical challenges rapidly during active production. Highly organized with the capacity to manage various concurrent projects with precision.
