AWT has the following position open in our Minneapolis, MN location: The schedule for this position is Monday - Friday, Hours are - 1st shift. Additional days and hours may be necessary due to production requirements. Responsible for set-up, operating and maintaining HP Indigo digital press and diecutting machine, producing a product that meets our business and customers' needs while maintaining a clean, safe working environment. Primary Tasks and Responsibilities (Note, activities that occupy approx. 80% of time): Follow daily press schedule; Verify that all required paperwork is complete and accurate; Well planned out set-up and changeovers ensuring that all components for producing product are at press/diecutter so job is completely ready to produce from set-up through clean-up; Monitors the printing process to maintain print quality, minimize downtime and wasted consumables (time and material); Performs daily maintenance on schedule and according to procedure; Performs adjustments accurately to minimize unexpected downtime and maintenance calls; Maintains a neat and orderly work area; Keeps supervisor updated on any troubleshooting issues; Follow ISO SOP's as trained. Secondary Tasks and Responsibilities (Occupies balance of time) Notifies supervisor of any inconsistencies with finished product or information, and if press is down, communicates with HP technicians in a professional and courteous manner; Participates in quality and process improvement;
Physical Job Demands:
Able to be on feet for long periods of time; able to lift 50 lbs. or more without restrictions. Skills/Abilities to

Travel required for initial and ongoing training Requires flexible schedule to balance work hours with production needs Good working knowledge of rotary tooling Good understanding of our business Working knowledge of prepress process Ability to evaluate printing quality and able to produce and interpret colors accurately Ability to trouble shoot problems effectively - requires an analytical approach to problem solving Good manual dexterity and mechanical abilities Ability to communicate in a professional and courteous manner with internal and external customers Ability to read and understand job ticket Good organization skills Able to work with deadlines Able to work in a team environment
Education and Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent GED; Vocational technical education preferred Minimum of two years 4-color process or offset press experience Working knowledge of prepress process Good knowledge and understanding of computer preferred.
