Job Description

Hiring Event April 9th If you are interested in being considered for the role, we will be hosting a hiring event on April 9 from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Ting Stadium. We will be conducting open interviews with the possibility of being hired on the spot. Overview The Baseball Wireless Camera Operator is a seasonal, part-time role responsible for supporting game day production at Durham Bulls Athletic Park. This position operates a wireless camera during home games to capture live action and fan engagement content for the main video board and in-house broadcast feed. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and has experience handling professional camera equipment. This role works closely with the Promotions and Game Operations teams to enhance the overall fan experience. Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions Operate a wireless shoulder-mounted camera during Durham Bulls home games. Capture live gameplay, fan interactions, and in-game entertainment elements for video board and broadcast use. Assist Promotions and Game Operations teams in executing game day production elements. Frame, focus, and stabilize shots to ensure high-quality visual output. Follow direction from production staff and adjust shots in real time. Support setup and breakdown of camera equipment as needed. Maintain and handle equipment with care to ensure proper functionality. Communicate effectively with production team members during live events. Perform other duties as assigned to support game day operations. Required Qualifications Previous experience operating professional or semi-professional camera equipment preferred. Ability to operate a shoulder-mounted camera with proper framing and stability. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow live direction. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver up to 50 pounds unassisted. Availability to work all Durham Bulls home games, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Preferred Qualifications Experience in live sports production or broadcast environments. Familiarity with in-game entertainment or video board production. Knowledge of baseball and game flow. Physical Demands Ability to stand and move throughout the ballpark for extended periods. Ability to carry and operate heavy camera equipment (up to 50 pounds). Frequent use of hands, arms, and shoulders for extended camera operation. Ability to work in varying weather conditions. Work Conditions Work is performed in a stadium environment with exposure to outdoor elements. Schedule is event-based and includes evenings, weekends, and holidays. Fast-paced, live production environment requiring focus and adaptability. Pre-Employment Information A pre-employment drug screening is required.
