PREPRESS SPECIALIST

Job description: We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Mac/PC PrePress Specialist to join our dynamic team! Duties Prepare and review digital artwork files for printing using Mac/PC -based prepress software, ensuring all specifications meet production standards. Manage color calibration and color management workflows to guarantee consistent, vibrant results across different printing platforms. Collaborate with graphic designers to optimize layout design, typography, and image quality for print media. Operate and troubleshoot advanced printing equipment including flexo presses and CNC machinery to ensure optimal output quality. Conduct quality control checks throughout the production process, identifying and resolving issues related to screen printing, machining, or layout errors. Support manufacturing teams by providing technical guidance on print advertising projects and ensuring adherence to specifications. Maintain detailed documentation of prepress procedures, color profiles, and workflow adjustments to streamline future projects. Requirements Proven experience with Mac/PC-based prepress workflows and software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign). Kodak Prinergy software knowledge preferred. Expertise in color management systems to maintain consistency across various print runs. In depth knowledge of offset printing, foil stamping, engraving, die cutting and all specialty finishes including bindery, etc. Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality control throughout all stages of prepress and production. Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, production staff, and quality assurance personnel.
