Director of Photography (DP)

Dynamo Media is producing a premium reality-style episode for our new YouTube series "Badass Businesses" and need a talented individual who can capture verite footage and on-the-fly style interviews with our host and other subjects. Our series visits businesses around the country and world to find out more about the exciting work they do. Please specify what relevant equipment you have and cite relevant experience on unscripted/documentary series in your application. Responsibilities

Cinematography:

Operate professional video cameras to capture high-quality footage in a variety of locations. A keen eye, attention to detail, a sense of story, and outstanding shot composition are all required.

Team Player:

This will be a 2 camera shoot (DP & B cam op) so prior experience working in tandem with another camera operator in order to achieve proper coverage is needed.

Sound Recording:

Capture clear and professional audio during extended field-based segments with multiple talent (recording audio from 2-3 simultaneously mic'ed subjects will be needed between the two cameras).

Media Management:

Post-shoot, gather cards and organize them on a drive (provided by production). Qualifications

• Proven experience shooting reality-style and/or documentary-style series with a strong portfolio of credits and/or show reel.
• Proficiency in operating professional video cameras, lighting equipment, and audio gear.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be available to shoot in Ellis County, OK area the week of April 27th. Preferred Qualifications
• Drone Operation /

Aerial Cinematography:

Operate professional drone equipment in order to capture high-quality, cinematic video footage (we will be hiring a B camera operator as well, we will want either the DP or the B cam op to operate a drone periodically during filming).

Gear:

Preferred setup between the two camera operators is having 1 shoulder mounted cam (FX-6 or anything similar) and 1 Ronin / gimbal camera (DSLR is fine) - both will shoot in 4K. Additionally, 3+ GoPros (plus drone) will be requested for additional coverage. Laptop and card readers needed for media management.

B Camera Operator:

If you can recommend a candidate for B camera operator in the area, that would be helpful. If not, we can help source someone.
