Digital Print Operator (Xeikon) M&M Industries, Inc. - 3.1 Chattanooga, TN Job Details Full-time 15 hours ago Qualifications Personal protective equipment (PPE) adherence High school diploma or GED Safety equipment Full Job Description M&M Industries is a U.S.-based manufacturer of plastic pails and packaging solutions. We operate in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where safety, quality, and efficiency are critical to meeting customer expectations. The Xeikon Print Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining the Xeikon digital printing press to produce high-quality printed materials according to job specifications. Additional responsibilities include managing print jobs from start to finish, ensuring color accuracy, troubleshooting printing issues, and collaborating with production teams to meet deadlines.
Schedule:
2nd Shift, Monday-Friday, 2:45PM-11:00PM. Key Responsibilities Follows safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment Sets up, calibrates, and operates Xeikon printing presses to produce high-quality prints Reviews job orders, artwork, and specifications to ensure accurate print production Monitors print jobs for color accuracy, resolution, and quality, making necessary adjustments Manages and loads paper, toner, ink, and other consumables as needed Ensures timely completion of print jobs while maintaining quality and efficiency Works collaboratively with designers and production staff to resolve printing issues and improve processes Performs tests such as temperature, relative humidity, material density, and moisture tests to ensure proper UV drying of ink Performs routine maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting of printing equipment Assists in other production activities as needed Maintains a clean and organized work environment in accordance with 5S principles Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong attention to detail Basic computer skills and ability to learn printing software used to monitor printer production Ability to use various inspection devices and tools Ability to troubleshoot and resolve common printing issues Ability to discern differences in color shades Education High School Diploma or G.E.D. required Technical training in printing or graphic arts preferred Experience Required years of experience may vary based on qualifications, skills, and level within the role Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to work in a manufacturing environment that may be hot or cold Ability to wear required PPE at all times (safety glasses, hearing protection, etc.)
