Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented 3D Printer Technician to join our innovative manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing a variety of 3D printing equipment to ensure the production of high-quality prototypes and parts. Your expertise will contribute to streamlining our additive manufacturing processes, supporting product development, and enhancing overall operational efficiency. Responsibilities Set up and calibrate 3D printers using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software and technical specifications. Monitor printing processes in real-time, adjusting parameters to ensure precision and quality. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of 3D printing equipment, including replacing parts and troubleshooting mechanical issues. Inspect printed parts for accuracy, surface finish, and structural integrity using tools like micrometers and other measurement devices. Maintain detailed records of print jobs, machine performance logs, and maintenance activities in accordance with quality standards. Implement infection control protocols when handling materials or working within laboratory or production environments. Collaborate with design engineers and fabrication specialists to optimize print settings for complex geometries and materials. Qualifications Proven experience with 3D printing technologies, including FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling), SLA (Stereolithography), or similar methods. Strong understanding of CAD software for preparing print files and models. Knowledge of medical imaging or laboratory experience is a plus, especially related to precision measurement tools like micrometers. Familiarity with infection control practices and aseptic techniques relevant to manufacturing environments. Ability to interpret technical drawings, medical terminology, and anatomical knowledge when applicable. Experience with medical documentation, medical records management, or HIPAA compliance is advantageous but not required. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical or software issues efficiently. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
