Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Prepress & Plate Maker to join a high-quality packaging manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for preparing press-ready, color-accurate files and producing lithographic printing plates and flexographic coating plates used in packaging production. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of print production, packaging graphics, color management, file preparation, and plate imaging processes. This is a hands-on role requiring excellent attention to detail, troubleshooting ability, and a commitment to maintaining production quality and efficiency. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare press-ready, color-accurate packaging files using graphic and prepress software
• Build, manipulate, review, and correct electronic files according to job specifications
• Review artwork, fonts, files, and production requirements prior to release
• Retrieve, manage, and organize production files and images using content management systems
• Image digital lithographic printing plates
• Manufacture flexographic coating plates for packaging production
• Monitor job changes and production updates to ensure quality and accuracy
• Troubleshoot file, plate, color, and production-related issues before impacting output
• Maintain inventory levels of plates and plate-processing supplies
• Train and support department personnel on proper procedures and workflows
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Support additional prepress and production needs as assigned Qualifications
• Experience in prepress, plate making, print production, packaging graphics, or related printing environments
• Strong understanding of electronic file preparation, artwork review, fonts, color accuracy, and production specifications
• Experience with lithographic plate imaging, flexographic plates, packaging graphics, or commercial print production preferred
• Ability to identify and resolve technical and production-related issues proactively
• Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment
• Ability to follow established procedures and train team members when needed
• Flexibility to assist across shifts when required Preferred Qualifications
• Background in folding carton, labels, packaging, offset printing, flexographic printing, or commercial print production
• Experience with packaging graphics, dielines, trapping, proofs, color correction, and plate output
• Prior lead, trainer, senior operator, or mentoring experience preferred

Pay:

$45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
