We make metal components for a variety of industries including construction, aerospace, transportation, medical, entertainment, food industries, etc. If it's made of metal, odds are that we can make it. As a press brake operator, your job is to operate press brake machines to shape various types of metal. In this role, you may inspect blueprints for a project, set up your machine, perform regular maintenance, inspect metal while shaping it, and make adjustments as needed. Some Examples of Job Duties... Form metal components using a CNC Press Brake Assist in handling project material and supplies Equipment maintenance Organizing material, tools and supplies Using a forklift to assist in loading and unloading material Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent Basic knowledge of common shop hand tools and power tools preferred Ability to safely physically lift objects that weigh up to 50 lbs. Ability to operate a forklift Must possess a positive and professional attitude Steel fabrication industry experience preferred Experience with modern CNC press brake (Delem) controls is a plus
