Full Job Description Summary:
A Press-Brake Operator is responsible for setting up and operating a CNC press brake to support efficient, high-quality production output.
Main responsibilities:
Set up and operate a CNC press brake to meet daily and weekly production schedules. Produce parts according to the weekly schedule, ensuring accuracy and consistency. Read and interpret blueprints, rulers, and decimal measurements to ensure precise fabrication. Operate additional fabrication equipment, including shear and notcher. Calculate bend deductions for various gauges of material to achieve correct finished dimensions. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area while following all safety and quality standards.
Qualifications and experience:
High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum 1 year of experience operating a CNC press brake in a manufacturing environment. Strong Mathematical skills required. Experience with Accurpress preferred, but not required. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and decimal measurements. Strong understanding of bend deductions, bend allowances, and material behavior across various gauges. Experience operating related fabrication equipment such as shears, notchers, and basic shop tools. Familiarity with production workflows, quality checks, and fabrication standards. Ability to lift 25-50 lbs as needed.
