The Press Brake Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining press brake equipment to bend, form, and shape metal parts according to specifications. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to read and interpret blueprints, and a commitment to safety and quality in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC and/or manual press brake machines to form metal parts per drawings and work orders Select and install appropriate tooling, dies, and punches based on material type and bend requirements Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and bend diagrams Measure and inspect parts using tape measures, calipers, squares, and other precision tools Make adjustments to machine settings to ensure accurate bends and consistent quality Perform first-article inspections and in-process quality checks Identify and report equipment issues, quality concerns, or safety hazards to supervision Perform routine machine inspections and basic preventative maintenance Safely load and unload materials using proper lifting techniques or material handling equipment Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with 5S and company standards Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and PPE requirements Meet production schedules while maintaining quality and safety standards Assist with other fabrication or production duties as assigned
Qualifications Required:
Experience operating press brake equipment in a manufacturing environment Ability to read and interpret blueprints and bend specifications Proficiency with basic measuring tools Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred:
CNC press brake experience Experience working with steel or metal fabrication Forklift and/or overhead crane experience (or willingness to obtain certification) Knowledge of material types, bend allowances, and tolerances Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs with or without assistance Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with noise, dust, heat, and moving equipment Ability to wear required PPE including safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and steel-toe footwear Work Environment Manufacturing/fabrication facility Exposure to hot materials, sharp edges, and moving machinery Fast-paced, production-driven environment requiring strict safety compliance Competencies Safety-focused mindset Time management and efficiency Problem-solving skills Quality awareness Dependability and attendance reliability

May have to go to Soperton location for training.
