Full Job Description Position Description:
Overview We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating press brake machines and possess a variety of machining skills. This role is crucial for ensuring the precision and quality of our metal fabrication processes. The Press Brake Operator will work closely with other team members to produce high-quality components while adhering to safety and quality standards. Responsibilities Operate press brake machines to bend, form, and shape metal sheets according to specifications. Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine the appropriate machine settings and tooling requirements. Perform quality inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure adherence to specifications. Conduct routine maintenance on press brake machines and troubleshoot any operational issues. Collaborate with team members in the assembly process, ensuring all components meet quality standards. Utilize hand tools and other machinery, including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, plasma cutting equipment, and stamping presses as needed. Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all safety protocols. Qualifications Proven experience as a Press Brake Operator or in a similar manufacturing role. Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in machining, fabrication, and assembly processes. Familiarity with CNC programming, CNC laser cutting, electrical discharge machining, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and tooling. Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and adjustments. Experience operating forklifts and cranes is preferred. Knowledge of welding techniques is a plus. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
